Anibal Hernandez-Santana, 64, was re-arrested by the FBI on Monday, after being released from the Sacramento County Jail on Saturday, September 20, following the posting of a $200,000 bail. He is now facing federal charges for allegedly violating 47 USC 333, which prohibits willful or malicious interference with the communication of a station licensed by the U.S. government. Hernandez-Santana is currently on a federal hold and is ineligible for bail.

"The FBI has taken into custody the suspect linked to the shooting into ABC10’s Sacramento station lobby under a federal hold for interference with licensed broadcasts. Targeted acts of violence are unacceptable and will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law," FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X, Monday.

Hernandez-Santana was initially arrested Friday evening at a residence in the River Park neighborhood after being linked to a vehicle suspected in the drive-by shooting at the ABC10 (KXTV) station in Sacramento.

The shooting, which occurred on Friday at 1 p.m., resulted in at least three bullet holes in the station's lobby window, but no one was physically harmed.

He was released on Saturday after posting bail but was re-arrested hours later by the FBI on probable cause related to the federal statute.

His federal court appearance is scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2 p.m., and he is also due in Sacramento County Superior Court on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Defense attorney Mark Reichel stated he was unaware of the federal charges and questioned the motives behind the federal arrest, suggesting investigators may be focusing on the suspect's extremist left-wing social media posts.

A 64-year-old man, Anibal Hernandez-Santana, was arrested on Saturday, in connection with a drive-by shooting at the ABC affiliate station ABC10 (KXTV) in Sacramento, California, which occurred on Friday afternoon around 1:30 p.m, related to a protest the day before over the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel's left-wing show.

Police reported that shots were fired from a vehicle near the ABC10 building at 400 Broadway, resulting in at least three bullet holes in the building's lobby window. The building was occupied at the time, but no injuries were reported. The Sacramento Police Department stated that the FBI is assisting with the investigation.

The shooting occurred one day after about 15 far-left protestors gathered outside the station to protest ABC's decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show, a move prompted by Kimmel's comments about TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer.

Tegna, the parent company of ABC10, confirmed the shots were fired and stated all employees were safe and unharmed, emphasizing their full cooperation with law enforcement and the implementation of additional safety measures.

Hernandez-Santana was arrested on Saturday following an investigation that traced a vehicle seen at the scene to his residence in the 5400 block of Carlson Drive in the River Park neighborhood. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, negligent discharge of a firearm, and shooting into an occupied building. His bail has been set at $200,000.

The suspect was later re-arrested by federal authorities. He's reportedly currently ineligible for bail.

The 64-year-old suspect of Guatemalan origin, has a prior history of legal action. Records show he filed a lawsuit in February 2019 against the California Rural Indian Health Board Inc. (CRIHB) alleging wrongful termination, discrimination, and retaliation. He is scheduled for his first court appearance on September 23, 2025.

California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom, who has faced criticisms for the rampant crime in the state, condemned the act, calling any violence against journalists an attack on democracy.

NROL-48: SpaceX Launches Spy Satellites For US National Reconnaissance Office

SpaceX launched the NROL-48 mission on Monday, Sept. 22, from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, deploying a new batch of reconnaissance satellites for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 1738 UTC and completed its 18th flight for the first-stage booster, which safely landed back at Landing Zone 4 at Vandenberg approximately 7.5 minutes after liftoff, generating sonic booms heard in nearby areas.

The successful back-to-base landing at Vandenberg suggests the mission carried a lighter payload compared to those requiring drone ship recoveries, which are typically associated with heavier loads of 20 or more satellites.

This mission marked the 11th launch in the NRO’s "proliferated architecture" program, a strategy to enhance resilience and coverage through a large constellation of smaller satellites.

The NROL-48 mission is part of the NRO’s effort to modernize its space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities by deploying a "proliferated architecture" that relies on numerous smaller, cost-effective satellites rather than a few large, expensive ones. This approach aims to provide faster data delivery, increased revisit rates, and greater resistance to adversarial interference. The constellation is expected to eventually include hundreds of satellites by 2029.

"To stay ahead of the competition and ensure it can continue to operate in a heightened threat environment, the NRO is modernizing its architecture in space and on the ground — delivering more capability faster with increased resilience," NRO officials said in a press kit about the proliferated architecture network, which you can find here.

"A greater number of satellites — large and small, government and commercial, in multiple orbits — will deliver an order of magnitude more signals and images than is available today," the officials added. "They will provide greater revisit rates, increased coverage, more timely delivery of information — and ultimately help us deliver more of what our customers need even faster."

While the NRO has not disclosed specific details about the payload, the satellites are widely believed to be Starshield spacecraft—modified versions of SpaceX’s Starlink satellites designed for government and national security use. These satellites are thought to be equipped with high-tech sensors for intelligence gathering.

The NROL-48 launch was the fifth proliferated architecture mission of 2025 and the second such mission to feature a return to Landing Zone 4.

This launch followed a Falcon 9 mission on September 21 that deployed 28 Starlink satellites from Florida, highlighting SpaceX’s high launch cadence. The NROL-48 mission was also the 18th flight for the recovered booster, which has previously supported missions including Crew-7, NASA’s EarthCARE, and multiple Starlink deployments.

Antifa Designated Domestic Terrorist Organization By Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday, officially designating the left-wing extremist movement Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. The order characterizes Antifa as a "militarist, anarchist enterprise" that calls for the overthrow of the U.S. government and uses illegal means, including violence and terrorism, to achieve its goals. It directs federal agencies to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle all illegal operations conducted by Antifa or individuals claiming to act on its behalf, including efforts to identify and prosecute those who fund the movement.

The executive order, as detailed in the White House fact sheet and news reports, consists of three main sections. Section 1 defines Antifa as a terrorist threat, citing its coordinated efforts to obstruct federal law enforcement through armed standoffs, riots, assaults on law enforcement (including ICE officers), and doxing of political figures. Section 2 formally designates Antifa as a "domestic terrorist organization" and instructs all relevant federal departments and agencies to utilize their authorities to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any illegal operations, including those involving terrorist actions, and to prosecute those providing material support. Section 3 outlines general provisions, stating the order must be implemented within existing law and that it does not create enforceable rights for any party.

The announcement follows the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, which the White House claims was linked to Antifa, citing bullet casings engraved with anti-fascist messages. The order is a revival of a pledge made by Trump during his first presidency and is part of a broader crackdown on left-leaning political entities.

The White House asserts that Antifa engages in a pattern of political violence to suppress lawful political speech and that its activities have led to a significant increase in assaults on ICE officers. The order is expected to lead to investigations into the funding sources of Antifa and other violent left-wing groups.

Antifa is not a single organization with a central leadership or membership list; it is described as a decentralized network of far-left activists and anarchists who often wear black clothing and masks at riots.

The designation of Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization is unprecedented, as the U.S. does not have a specific law defining domestic terrorism or a mechanism to designate domestic groups as terrorist organizations. While federal law allows for the designation of foreign terrorist organizations, which enables asset freezes and criminalizing material support, the executive order does not attempt to use those powers for a domestic group.

Israeli Drone Strike Kills 5 Civilians: Possibly 4 U.S. Citizens Including 3 Children And Their Father

An Israeli drone strike in the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil on Sunday, killed five people, including four U.S. citizens—three children and their father—according to Lebanese officials, though the U.S. State Department has disputed this claim.

The Israeli military confirmed the strike, which targeted a Hezbollah militant operating within a civilian population, and acknowledged the deaths of several uninvolved civilians, stating the incident is under review. The attack has sparked international condemnation and renewed concerns over the fragile ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported striking and eliminating a Hezbollah operator in Bint Jbeil, using a drone to fire two missiles at a motorcycle and a Mercedes car. Lebanon’s Health Ministry confirmed five fatalities, including three children and their father, with the mother critically injured.

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stated the father and three children held U.S. citizenship, a claim disputed by a U.S. State Department spokesperson. The Lebanese Foreign Minister confirmed the mother was injured and in critical condition.

The attack drew strong condemnation from Lebanese leadership. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called the strike a "massacre" and a "crime against civilians," describing it as a message of intimidation aimed at people returning to their villages in southern Lebanon. President Joseph Aoun, who was in New York for the UN General Assembly, condemned the strike, urging the international community to pressure Israel to stop its actions, stating, "There can be no peace over the blood of our children." The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) expressed being "shocked and outraged" by the killing of the three children, calling attacks on children "unconscionable" and demanding an immediate end to hostilities.

The strike occurred despite a US-brokered ceasefire agreement signed in November 2024, which required both Israel and Hezbollah to withdraw forces from southern Lebanon and halt attacks. Israel has continued to conduct strikes in Lebanon almost daily since the ceasefire, and Israeli forces remain in occupation of five Lebanese hilltop points near the border.

Hezbollah claims it has no military presence south of the Litani River and attributes its refusal to disarm to Israel's continued attacks. The ongoing conflict has already caused significant casualties and displacement, with the previous monthslong war killing approximately 4,000 people in Lebanon. The Israeli military maintains it is targeting Hezbollah militants and infrastructure, while Lebanon and international bodies argue the strikes violate the ceasefire and international law.
