DOJ Memo Says No Epstein List, As Trump Hosts Netanyahu For Gaza Ceasefire Talks
July 09, 2025

The Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI released a memo on July 8, concluding that there is no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals, maintained a "client list," or was murdered, affirming that he died by suicide in 2019 while in federal custody.

The memo includes both raw and "enhanced"  enhanced security footage from Epstein’s prison cell area, which it claims, supports the medical examiner’s determination of suicide and shows no suspicious activity. The findings contradict long-standing public evidence and prior statements made by Attorney General Pam Bondi, who had previously claimed the client list was under review.

The DOJ memo also states that no further charges are expected in connection with Epstein’s case, as no credible evidence was found implicating third parties. Additionally, the DOJ emphasized its commitment to combating child exploitation and bringing justice to victims.

The findings represent the first time the DOJ has sought to officially contradicted 'conspiracy theories' about Epstein's activities and his death. The memo says no one else involved in the Epstein case will be charged.

The memo’s release comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Bondi’s earlier statements and has drawn furious criticisms online especially from Trump's MAGA supporters who decried what they see as DOJ attempt to cover up the Epstein's connections to Israeli intelligence and its blackmail operations.

As journalist Nick Bryant explained in part on the Shawn Ryan Show"Epstein had cameras in all of his homes. Epstein was definitely a blackmail artist.

"The government wants to make sure that that does not come out. A huge part of our political system is predicated on blackmail.

"If that dark, malignant corner of the intelligence that is using blackmail against our politicians and other people, if they were using children, that would make the American people erupt.

"For that dark corner of intelligence, this is Omaha Beach. They're not going to give an inch.

"If you look at all the victims and all the perpetrators and all the procurers involved in the Epstein network ... no one's been indicted except for Ghislaine Maxwell.

"That really shows that our government, unfortunately, wants to stop it there.

"Why is our government aiding, abetting child trafficking unless they're protecting some very powerful people and a political process?

"That's the only way that it makes sense."

Critics also argue that the video released by the DOJ of Epstein's cell is misleading, as it implies that the only avenue to get to his cell was through the common area.

During a Cabinet meeting at the White House Tuesday, President Donald Trump became defensive when questioned about his administration's handling of the Epstein investigation, particularly regarding the client list and the missing minute in surveillance footage from the night of Epstein’s death.

"Are you still talking about - Jeffrey EPSTEIN? ... We have Texas, this, all of the things...are people still talking about this creep? That is UNBELIEVABLE! I can't believe you're asking a question on Epstein," Trump said, responding to reporter's questions during the Cabinet meeting. The remarks drew furious reactions by critics online who accused the president of "gaslighting," and treating voters as if they're "stupid."

On her part, Bondi claimed she never meant to say that there was an Epstein list, during a viral appearance on Fox News when the Attorney General claimed that the files were "on my desk," for review before release.

The controversial memo release comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is back to the White House Monday, to discuss a potential Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal. The pair and Vice President JD Vance reportedly met again Tuesday, in the Oval Office for 90 minutes. This meeting occurred amid broader diplomatic efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict in the region. Qatari delegation also reportedly met with top officials in the White House Tuesday.

"To be clear: I am NOT calling for violence. I'm just saying, historically, any gov that would cover up for a sex trafficking ring of minors to the rich and powerful, would be justifiably overthrown by any means necessary," furious prominent Trump supporter and podcaster Clint Russell wrote on X. "Epstein worked for Mossad. FYI. That's why they are lying."

Jewish US Prosecutor Facing Backlash Over The Handling Of Israeli Cyber Official Caught In Las Vegas Child Sex Sting

Outrage is mounting on social media against Acting U.S. Attorney Sigal Chattah and the Trump administration following reports that Tom Alexandrovich, a senior Israeli cybersecurity official arrested in a Las Vegas child sex sting, had met with FBI and NSA officials before his arrest and was scheduled for further meetings the day after his arrest, yet was allowed to flee to Israel.

Critics allege that the U.S. government, through Chattah's office, shielded Alexandrovich by declining federal charges and leaving the case to local prosecutors, who have little chance of securing his extradition.

Police notes from Alexandrovich's interview indicate he had an interview with Department of Homeland Security(DHS) and FBI officers at the police station and had already met with both FBI and NSA officials multiple times prior to his arrest. He was scheduled for more meetings with the FBI and NSA the day after his arrest.

Despite being arrested, Alexandrovich was allowed to post bail and fled to Israel before appearing before a judge, a move facilitated by the fact that no criminal complaint had been filed against him, which would have allowed a judge to impose travel restrictions. His flight to Israel was scheduled for August 8, a day after posting bail.

Chattah, who is Israeli-born, declined to pursue federal charges against Alexandrovich, stating the Clark County District Attorney's Office would handle the prosecution. This decision has drawn intense criticism, with Chattah being accused of bias due to her Israeli citizenship and past inflammatory remarks about Palestinians. She has since blamed a "liberal [D.A.] and state court judge" for allowing Alexandrovich to flee, and has deleted her personal X account.

The U.S. State Department has denied any role in Alexandrovich's release, stating he did not claim diplomatic immunity and was released by a state judge pending his court date.

However, the fact that federal agents spoke to him and he was scheduled for more meetings with intelligence agencies before fleeing has fueled allegations of political intervention and complicity.

Trump, EU Leaders Agree On Ukraine Security Guarantee, Putin, Zelensky Meeting, During White House Talks

President Donald Trump held a high-stakes meeting at the White House on Monday, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and a delegation of European leaders, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, to discuss a potential end to the war in Ukraine.

The meeting, which included a private session with Zelensky and a subsequent multilateral discussion, focused on security guarantees for Ukraine, a possible exchange of territory, and the arrangement of direct talks between Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, followed by a trilateral meeting including Trump.

Trump announced in a Truth Social post that he had called Putin during the meeting to begin arranging the bilateral encounter, stating that Putin had agreed to accept security guarantees for Ukraine, a development he described as a "very significant step." Zelensky confirmed the discussion of security guarantees and stated they would be formalized on paper within the next week to ten days.

The core of the discussions centered on security guarantees for Ukraine, which Trump stated would be provided by various European countries with coordination from the United States. Zelenskyy emphasized the need for guarantees involving weapons, training missions, and intelligence, and confirmed that details would be worked out within 10 days.

European leaders, including Stubb, expressed cautious optimism but noted there was "nothing concrete" yet about U.S. participation in the guarantees. The Kremlin has previously rejected the deployment of NATO troops in Ukraine as part of any security package.

The discussions at the White House Monday, were marked by a public show of unity, but behind the scenes, there were significant disagreements, particularly on the necessity of a ceasefire before further talks. The U.S. also reportedly discussed a potential $90 billion weapons purchase by Ukraine as part of the security guarantees.

Speaking to reporters before the start of the meeting, Merz broke with the generally optimistic tone of European leaders, stating that peace talks could not continue without a ceasefire.

Merz, who has been in office since May, issued an impassioned call for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine, despite Trump having repeatedly expressed his belief that a ceasefire is not necessary to achieve a permanent peace between Russia and Ukraine.

The German leader thanked the president for arranging the meeting at the White House, calling it "extremely helpful." However, he said that "the next steps ahead are the more complicated ones."

"Now the path is open. You opened it last Friday, but now the way is open for complicated negotiations," he said, adding, "And to be honest, we all would like to see a ceasefire at the latest from the next meeting on."

"I can't imagine that the next meeting would take place without a ceasefire," he went on. "So, let's work on that."

He urged leaders to pressure Russia to agree to a ceasefire, saying, "Let's try to put pressure on Russia, because the credibility of this effort, these efforts we are undertaking today are depending on, at least, a ceasefire from the beginning of the serious negotiations from the next step on. So, I would like to emphasize this aspect and would like to see a ceasefire from the next meeting, which should be a trilateral meeting wherever it takes place."

In response, Trump, who has said he is determined "to go directly to a peace agreement" without a ceasefire, said, "Well, we're going to let the president [Zelenskyy] go over and talk to the president [Putin], and we'll see how that works out."

Trump pointed to his recent successes in helping to broker peace deals between other countries without a ceasefire.

"I will say, and again, I say it, in the six wars that I've settled, I haven't had a ceasefire," he said. "We just got into negotiations and… one of the wars was, as you know, in the Congo, was 30 years, 31 years long. Another one that we settled last week was two great countries, was 35 years going on, and we had no ceasefire."

"So, if we can do the ceasefire, great. And, if we don't do the ceasefire because many other points were given to us, many, many points were given to us. Great points," he added.

Trump in the Truth Social post confirmed he had initiated arrangements for a direct meeting between Zelensky and Putin, which would be followed by a trilateral summit including himself. Zelenskyy stated he was ready to meet Putin and invited Trump to participate in future peace discussions.

After the meeting, Trump wrote "I had a very good meeting with distinguished guests, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, President Emmanuel Macron, of France, President Alexander Stubb, of Finland, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, of Italy, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, of the United Kingdom, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, in the White House, which ended in a further meeting in the Oval Office.

"During the meeting we discussed Security Guarantees for Ukraine, which Guarantees would be provided by the various European Countries, with a coordination with the United States of America. Everyone is very happy about the possibility of PEACE for Russia/Ukraine. At the conclusion of the meetings, I called President Putin, and began the arrangements for a meeting, at a location to be determined, between President Putin and President Zelenskyy.

"After that meeting takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself. Again, this was a very good, early step for a War that has been going on for almost four years. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, are coordinating with Russia and Ukraine. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

While Trump expressed strong confidence in the process, European leaders like Macron and Stubb were more skeptical, with Stubb stating Putin "cannot be trusted" and the EU leaders emphasizing the need for a ceasefire before further negotiations. The U.S. has not ruled out the possibility of American troops helping to guarantee peace if an agreement is reached.

The meeting followed a summit between Trump and Putin in Alaska, where Trump claimed Putin agreed to accept security guarantees for Ukraine. This White House gathering was a follow-up effort to build on that initial discussion and bring European allies on board.

The European leaders traveled to Washington in solidarity with Ukraine, aiming to ensure the peace process safeguarded Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
