Trump Frustrated Over Iran War Deadlock; As Vance, Netanyahu Hold Candid Meeting Over Israeli Push For Escalation

U.S. President Trump reportedly "erupted" in expletive-laden fury during a national security meeting last week, expressing deep frustration over the stalled Iran conflict and the lack of a clear strategy to force Tehran into a deal after nearly six months of war.

While Trump claimed he did not intend a "long, drawn-out war," unnamed officials describe a White House facing "strategic defeat" due to internal disunity and Iran's refusal to negotiate despite tactical US victories. The White House has officially denied the account of Trump's outburst, insisting the administration remains united and "locked and loaded" to continue punishing Iran.

“I don’t think he believed it was going to be this difficult to get the Iranians to agree to a deal," a close Trump ally who spoke to him recently, reportedly said. "There was not a real strategy for how long or what they should do to get to the endpoint. He did not intend this to be a long, drawn-out war."

Deep divisions have emerged within Trump's inner circle regarding the path forward, splitting advisers into two distinct camps. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Brad Cooper advocate for increased military pressure, whereas Vice President JD Vance and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine warn against depleting munitions stockpiles without a defined endgame.

Trump expressed deep irritation at being unable to secure a lasting deal or exit strategy after a preliminary Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) collapsed. Insiders noted he was frustrated that his national security team lacked a cohesive, unified policy guidance. The president reportedly referred to Iranian leadership as "lunatics and scumbags," lamenting that trying to negotiate with Tehran was a "waste of time."

This strategic deadlock coincides with rising domestic political pressure ahead of the November midterm elections, as Republicans fear voter backlash over soaring fuel prices and war fatigue.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt denied reports that Trump lost control or lacked confidence in his team, stating: "The president has a great team whom he trusts... He's locked and loaded to keep punishing Iran."

Meanwhile tensions between the US and Israel reared its head as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confronted JD Vance in a candid private meeting on Wednesday, following Vance's public criticism of the Israeli government's disloyalty to Trump.

Since the start of the US-Israel-Iran war, Vice President Vance has been one of the Trump administration's most vocal advocates for a diplomatic resolution with Iran to prevent a nuclear weapon without entangling the U.S. in a prolonged regional war.

Tensions escalated after Vance appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, where he openly accused elements inside Netanyahu's government of trying to manipulate U.S. public opinion, running foreign influence campaigns to sabotage U.S.–Iran peace talks, and attempting to drag the U.S. into an endless war. On the podcast, the vice president also claimed that convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein had links to "Israeli intelligence" elements.

During their direct one-on-one meeting at the Blair House in Washington, Netanyahu confronted Vance over his public criticisms, arguing that the public comments undermined Israel and threatened the bilateral alliance. Vance, on the other hand, held his ground, suspecting Netanyahu and his allies in pro-government Israeli media of orchestrating attacks to target the vice president politically.

Netanyahu, who is facing reelection in October, sought to repair strains in the alliance after Trump privately complained that the Israeli leader was trying to drag the US deeper into the conflict to serve his own political needs. During a recent Fox News interview, Trump expressed annoyance that Netanyahu was sharing intelligence on Iranian nuclear activities, stating, "Bibi is telling me that because he wants me to stay involved."

The U.S. has achieved several tactical military objectives, but the administration remains divided over whether to push for aggressive regime-level military pressure on Iran or force a diplomatic deal.

While Netanyahu publicly praises his rapport with President Trump, Israeli leadership has pushed to keep up military pressure on Iran's nuclear sites (such as Pickaxe Mountain). Meanwhile, figures like Vance argue that Israel is attempting to dictate U.S. foreign policy timelines at the expense of American strategic interests.

Ambassador Huckabee's Top Aide and Zionist David Milstein Altered Reports Critical Of Israel

David Milstein, a senior adviser to U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee and stepson of Zionist Fox News host Mark Levin, systematically suppressed and altered embassy reports critical of the Israeli government. Several U.S. officials in Jerusalem and Washington, as well as internal diplomatic records reportedly details how Milstein manipulated information channels out of the U.S. Embassy.

Thge 36-year-old reportedly blocked or rewrote diplomatic cables regarding West Bank settlement expansion, settler violence, and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). For instance, he replaced a report warning of rising violence with one praising Israel’s crackdown, and altered a cable about deadly aid distribution sites to portray the GHF as successful.

Milstein, a zealous Zionist allegedly quashed a detailed report on the killings of nine Palestinian Americans by Israeli settlers and security forces, effectively stonewalling Congressional efforts to hold Israel accountable. He insisted on approving all communications from the embassy’s Palestinian affairs section, causing the volume of reports to Washington to drop from several per week to just a few per month, with staff fearing reprisal.

The zealous Zionist removed criticisms of Israel from the annual State Department human rights report, slashing it from nearly 100 pages to nine, and advocated for referring to the West Bank as "Judea and Samaria," a term associated with annexation.

Milstein, who returned to the embassy in April 2025, has significant ties to President Donald Trump administration, having previously served as a special assistant to former Ambassador David Friedman and as a legislative aide to Senator Ted Cruz. Milstein's stepfather, Levin is a vocal ally of Trump and a long-standing defender of Netanyahu.

In September 2026, Milstein drew scrutiny when reports surfaced that he had included a request for monetary wedding gifts on invitations sent to Israeli contacts and officials, prompting counterintelligence concerns among national security staff.

Ambassador Huckabee, a stauch Christian Zionist and zealous supporter of Israel, has denied the allegations and threatened litigation for defamation. He called the claims "fake news," "farcical," saying he "personally and categorically" refutes the allegations. Officials noted, however, that while Huckabee had occasionally restrained Milstein, he also collaborated with him to shape outgoing messages.

Friedman also defended Milstein, dismissing the claims as a "hit piece" based solely on anonymous sources.

State Department issued a standard response stating that the department remains focused on "advancing President Trump's America First agenda" without addressing the specific allegations of cable manipulation.

Critics, including journalists and former State Department officials, have described Milstein’s actions as a betrayal of U.S. diplomatic integrity, with some labeling him a "traitor" for shielding the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu government from accountability.

Crew-12 Astronauts Return To Earth Aboard SpaceX Dragon After 8 months On ISS

SpaceX Crew-12 mission astronauts aboard Crew Dragon Freedom returned to Earth on Thursday (Oct. 8), after undocking from the International Space Station at 1205 UTC Wednesday (Oct. 7). The capsule executed a deorbit burn before entering the atmosphere at about 1522 UTC, achieving a successful splashdown in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Los Angeles at 1534 UTC after a roughly 27-hour trip.

Following splashdown, the capsule was secured by recovery teams aboard the Shannon ship, and the astronauts -- Jessica Meir (NASA Commander), Jack Hathaway (NASA Pilot), Sophie Adenot (ESA Mission Specialist), and Andrey Fedyaev (Roscosmos Mission Specialist) -- were lifted aboard for initial medical evaluations before being transported by helicopter to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston for rehabilitation. Crew members.

Meir and Fedyaev were experienced space travelers, while Hathaway and Adenot were on their first spaceflights.

"The crew is doing well. They were all smiles exiting the capsule," Bill Spetch, deputy manager of commercial, NASA’s Low Earth Orbit Program, said during a post-splashdown press conference Thursday. "It's great to have them back after 237 days in space, 235 of those on the space station."

During the mission, which lasted 237 days (nearly eight months), the four astronauts conducted extensive scientific research, including tests on stem cell production, IV fluid generation, and the effects of microgravity on bone density and blood flow.

The Crew-12 astronauts felt a mix of emotions about their homecoming, as big transitions are always bittersweet. Indeed, Meir gave us a sense of this a few weeks back.

"What I'm looking forward to most is seeing my three-and-a-half-year-old daughter,” Meir said during a Sept. 16 call with reporters from the station.

"I'm so looking forward to seeing nature again," she added, "feeling the breeze on my face, the wind rustling through the leaves, experiencing all those things that we don't have up here. But I will very, very much miss being weightless all the time and the incredible views that we have."

The Crew-12 astronauts launched to the ISS aboard Dragon Grace atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Feb. 13. Their arrival brought the station up to its normal complement of seven crewmembers. It had been operating with a skeleton crew of three since Jan. 15, when SpaceX's Crew-11 mission headed home a month early to deal with a medical issue experienced by one of its astronauts, NASA's Mike Fincke.

That was the first medical evacuation in the long history of the ISS. But it was not an emergency situation, NASA officials stressed at the time, and Fincke is doing fine now here on terra firma. (He retired in August with a total of 549 days in space, the fourth-most ever for a NASA astronaut). Crew-12, in turn, was relieved by the four astronauts of the Crew-13 mission, which arrived at the ISS last Thursday (Oct. 1).
