Former president Donald Trump delivered remarks at the Al Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner held in New York City Thursday night, during which the Republican presidential candidate roasted his opponent Kamala Harris who was not present at the event, and other Democrats.
In humorous and pointed remarks Trump took jabs at Harris for not attending the event, linking her absence to historical election losses, suggesting that not attending might bring bad luck to her in November elections. He referenced Walter Mondale's significant loss in 1984 after skipping the annual Catholic charity gala.
The former president also made a cuckhold joke about the "white men for Harris," saying he's not worried because the "their wives and wives' lovers" will vote for him.
Senator Chuck Schumer who's seated next to, and chatted with Trump at the event, was also the target of the former president's jokes. He said the senate leader looked like Gollum from Lord of the Rings, and that if Harris loses, Schumer still has a chance to become the first woman president due to the Democrat Party’s “woke” nature.
Other recipients of Trump's jabs include NYC Mayor Eric Adams and far-left New York Attorney General Letitia Jones who brought frivolous court cases against the former president.
