Netflix Facing Backlash Over 'Dead: Paranormal Park' LGBTQ Propaganda To Kids

Netflix is facing a significant backlash in late September 2025 after renewed controversy erupted over its animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park. The criticism centers on the show's transgender themes, which critics claim are inappropriate for its young target audience, and the creator Hamish Steele's alleged social media comments celebrating the assassination of conservative commentator and TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk.

The controversy, which began this week has led to a wave of subscription cancellations, with high-profile figures like Tesla CEO Elon Musk joining the boycott. The incident has become a major flashpoint in the ongoing cultural debate over representation in children's media and online discourse.

Musk publicly on Tuesday, announced he had canceled his Netflix subscription, amplifying a viral post from the conservative watchdog account Libs of TikTok. Musk first shared a post stating, "This is not ok," in reference to the show's content. When former Department of Energy staffer Matt Van Swol posted, "Just cancelled my Netflix subscription," The X owner replied with a single word: "Same." This simple endorsement amplified the boycott, with thousands of users following suit and sharing their own cancellation notices online.

The Tesla chief further escalated the situation by directly calling the show's creator, Hamish Steele, a "groomer" in a post on X, a term that has become highly charged in debates over LGBTQ+ content for children.

Dead End: Paranormal Park, is an animated horror-comedy series that premiered on Netflix in June 2022. The show, which was canceled after two seasons in 2023, follows two teenagers, Barney, a transgender boy, and Norma, an autistic Pakistani-American girl, who work at a haunted theme park and battle supernatural forces.

The specific scene that ignited the latest firestorm, highlighted by Libs of TikTok, is from Season 2, Episode 9. In it, the character Barney comes out to his friend Norma, saying, "It's me. I'm trans... And being here, it's like a whole new place. I can just be Barney."

Critics argue that this storyline, which deals with a child's gender identity and family acceptance, is inappropriate for a show marketed to children as young as seven years old. Despite its cancellation, Netflix continues to promote the show on its platform, which has fueled the anger of critics who feel the company is still profiting from and endorsing its content.

The show's creator, Steele, who identifies as gay and uses he/they pronouns made inflammatory comments on the social media platform BlueSky following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025.

Screenshots, widely circulated by Libs of TikTok and other accounts, show Steele allegedly writing, "Why the fuck are you even commenting on this, dickhead? You sympathy for any of the families being slaughtered by your weapons but a random nazi gets shot and its a public statement. You're such a fucking evil shit."

This alleged celebration of a political assassination, combined with his role in creating a show with LGBTQ+ themes for children, has made Steele a primary target of the outrage. Following the backlash, Steele reportedly made his social media accounts private.

The controversy first ignited when Chaya Raichik, the operator of the influential Libs of TikTok social media account posted a video clip of the scene from Dead End: Paranormal Park with the caption, "OMG. Dead End Paranormal Park, a show on Netflix, is pushing pro-transgender on CHILDREN... Parents- BEWARE." This post, which was viewed millions of times, directly linked the show's content to Steele's alleged comments about Kirk, highlighting corporate complicity in both ideological indoctrination and the glorification of violence.

Raichik's call to action, "We will not support a company who pushes transgenderism on kids and employs someone who celebrates murder," became a rallying cry. The online reaction has been massive, with the hashtag #CancelNetflix trending. Social media users have posted screenshots of their canceled subscriptions.

Spain Defeats Argentina 1-0 To Win FIFA World Cup Presented By Trump

Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, securing their second title with a 106th-minute extra-time goal by Ferran Torres. The match, held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, was a tense affair dominated by Spanish possession, with Argentina failing to register a single shot on goal throughout the 120 minutes.

The deadlock was broken when Nico Williams headed a pass toward the goal, allowing substitute Torres to score the decisive winner early in the second half of extra time.

Argentina's chances were severely hampered after Enzo Fernández received a red card in the 93rd minute, forcing them to play with 10 men for the entire extra-time period. Despite a record-breaking performance by Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, who made 11 saves, he could not stop Torres's strike.

Lionel Messi was visibly emotional after the match, shedding tears as he received his runner-up medal in what may be his final World Cup appearance. Immediately after the final whistle, some frustrated Argentinian players were also seen harassing some Spanish players as they celebrated. Not in the spirit of fair play.

The trophy presentation featured U.S. President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who presented the medals and the World Cup trophy on the field.

The event included a 30-minute halftime break with show featuring performances by Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira, BTS, and others, marking the first time a World Cup final featured such an extensive musical intermission.

Andrew Tate, Tristan Arrested In Miami, To Face Charges In UK

Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate were arrested by U.S. Marshals in Miami on Saturday, pursuant to a sealed extradition warrant issued by the United Kingdom. The arrests follow the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) approving 38 new charges, bringing the total against the brothers to 59.

Andrew faces 42 charges, including rape and trafficking, while Tristan faces 17. The alleged offenses span from July 2010 to August 2017 and involve seven total alleged victims, with the new charges stemming from four additional victims reported to Bedfordshire Police.

The specific additional charges authorized by the CPS include rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and offenses relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.

Andrew is charged with seven further counts of rape, three counts of trafficking facilitation, three counts of assault, and 19 counts related to indecent images and extreme pornography.

Tristan faces one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of facilitating trafficking. The U.S. Department of Justice confirmed the arrests were made in accordance with extradition treaties, and the brothers are expected to appear in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida early in the week following the arrest.

The Tate brothers, dual U.S. and British citizens, rose to prominence as controversial "manosphere" influencers promoting hypermasculinity. They previously faced charges in Romania for organized crime, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation, which were dropped in 2023. They returned to the United States in early 2025 after Romanian travel restrictions were lifted.

The Tate brothers' attorney, Joseph McBride, has denied all allegations, calling the arrests a "political hit" and stating they are innocent. McBride also noted that the both were held in solitary confinement as they await extradition proceedings, which they are expected to contest.

Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas of Bedfordshire Police said in statement: "Officers from our major crime unit have been working closely alongside the Crown Prosecution Service and both national and international law enforcement agencies as part of this complex investigation. There is no place for male violence against women and girls, and we will continue to tirelessly to support victims and investigate all reports made to us."

In the 37th and 46th minute just befoire half time break, Bukayo Saka took total control of the half, slotting home two goals in quick succession to firmly establish a four-goal cushion.

The French fought back in the second half. Coach Didier Deschamps made drastic changes at half-time, deploying four substitutions—including bringing on Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola—which totally flipped the script. France woke up and initiated a blistering comeback that turned the game into end-to-end chaos.

Kylian Mbappé pulled one back just after the restart in the 48th minute. Super-sub Bradley Barcola made it 4-2 in the 54th minute, breathing immense belief back into the Les Bleus squad. In the 66th minute Mbappé struck again for his second of the match, drawing France within a single goal at 4-3.

Jude Bellingham finalized the historic scoreline, putting the exclamation point on a 6-4 victory with a brilliant late goal in the 98th minute.

In the Golden boot race, Despite the loss, Mbappé's dynamic brace pushed him to 10 goals for the tournament, putting him two clear of Argentina's Lionel Messi (8 goals) and three ahead of Bellingham (7 goals) heading into the final matchday.

Both teams were heavily tipped to reach the main event. France entered their semi-final match as heavy favorites before being upset 2-0 by a masterful Spain side. England, meanwhile, suffered heartbreak after leading Argentina late into their semi-final, only to see the defending champions overturn the scoreline to win 2-1.
