Tiger Woods, 49, confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump, 47, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., with a post on X Sunday, saying, "Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together." He also requested privacy for those close to their hearts.
Woods shared two photos, one showing them standing side by side and another with them lying in a hammock, with Vanessa's arm draped across his chest. The couple have reportedly been quietly dating for the past several months.
Vanessa was previously married to Donald Trump Jr. for 12 years and has five children with him. Woods has two children from his previous marriage to Elin Nordegren, which ended in 2010.
Woods, known for keeping his personal life private, has asked for privacy for all those close to their hearts. However critics wonder why he'd announce the relationship on social media and ask for privacy, when it's sure to stoke more interest from the tabloids.
The confirmation of Woods' new relationship comes two days after the golfer announced that he's ruptured his Achilles tendon. “As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured,” Woods wrote on social media. The injury will likely keep him out of the Masters and the rest of the golf season.
