Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency(DOGE) via the Office of Personnel Management(OPM) sent out emails to over 2 million federal US workers over the weekend, asking them to highlight five things they accomplished at work the previous week.
This comes as reports reveal that 60% of federal employees 'work' from home and fraudulently collect salaries without actually accomplishing any important task.
Some left-wing federal workers and far-left media talking heads have since been breathlessly whining about the emails.
A federal worker called into the Breakfast Club radio show Tuesday, and slammed her colleagues for complaining about the emails.
“I got the email and I honestly feel like this is a great opportunity to outline what you as an employee bring to the company — you know, bring to the federal government, and if it’s really good what you outline they can give you an opportunity to get a promotion or something,” she said.
Such emails would be normal at another job, the caller added.
“God forbid they ask you what you’ve done. Any other job, they’ll ask you at the end of the week, at the end of the month,” she said.
The caller also revealed that remote workers are using a device to make it appear as if they are working as many government remote jobs will track the progress and activity status of employees’ computers.
“People are actually buying it and using it and not working. And this is our taxpayers’ money, and you have to work,” she said. “You don’t like it, get another job.”
The caller also took a shot at Democrats. “It’s this Democratic thing," she said. "It’s like, I don’t want to get the parties into it, but they don’t want to go to work. They want to work from home. People are not working from home.”
Meanwhile polls show that voters overwhelmingly see sending the emails as a common sense measure to find out who is actually working for the government and what contributions they make as they collect tens of thousands in salaries per employee, every month.
Breakfast Club is a morning radio show hosted by far-left Democrats Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy.
