At the Samsung Unpacked 2025 event Wednesday, the tech giant unveiled the Galaxy S25 series smartphone, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, with a focus on AI features and improvements. The event also teased the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, an ultra-slim smartphone with a rumored thickness of 6.4mm, but no official details were announced.
The Galaxy S25 Series smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the newly launched chipset which provides a performance boost of 40% in NPU, 37% in CPU, and 30% in GPU compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and supports advanced AI features and improved gaming performance.
The smartphones feature thinner and lighter form factors, an upgraded chipset, and improved camera capabilities, including 10-bit HDR recording and a new Galaxy Virtual Aperture.
A One UI 7 fresh upgrade brings new features and improvements to the Galaxy S25 series, including enhanced productivity and entertainment capabilities; and improved AI capabilities, including a personal data engine, multi-app commands, and a Now Brief feature that anticipates user needs and packages them neatly for easy access.
The base model Galaxy S25 features a thinner and lighter design, with a starting price of $799, and includes a 6.2-inch display, 4,000mAh battery, and 50MP main lens.
The Galaxy S25 Plus model has a starting price of $999, with a 6.7-inch display, 4,900mAh battery, and similar camera specifications to the base model. The Galaxy S25 Ultra model features a 6.9-inch AMOLED display, 50MP ultrawide camera sensor, and a starting price of $1,299, with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.
