[Update]  Corey Comperatore Died Shielding Wife And Daughter With His Body, During Failed Assassination Attempt On Trump By A Far-left Biden Supporter

Photos were shared on social media of Corey Comperatore, 50, the man who was killed during a failed assassination attempt by a Pennsylvanian man on Trump at a rally in Butler, on July 13. As his last heroic act, the former fireman reportedly used his body to shield his wife and daughter during the mayhem and sacrificed his life.

Comperatore's daughter Allyson took to social media to leave a heart-felt message. "...What was supposed to be an exciting day that we had all looked forward to (ESPECIALLY my dad), turned into the most traumatizing experiences someone could imagine."

His sister, Dawn Comperatore Schafer, wrote in a Facebook post that Corey "was a hero that shielded his daughters."

"His wife and girls just lived through the unthinkable and unimaginable," Dawn Comperatore Schafer wrote. "My baby brother just turned 50 and had so much life left to experience. Hatred has no limits and love has no bounds. Pray for my sister-in-law, nieces, my mother, sister, me and his nieces and nephews as this feels like a terrible nightmare but we know it is our painful reality."

Two other people injured during Saturday's shooting are reportedly in critical but stable condition.

Reacting to Saturday's incident, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer wrote on X, "I am appalled by the shocking scenes at President Trump's rally and we send him and his family our best wishes. Political violence in any form has no place in our societies and my thoughts are with all the victims of this attack."

Former President Donald Trump was shot in an apparent failed assassination attempt, as he was speaking during a campaign rally at Butler Farm Show grounds, in Butler, Pennsylvania. Two attendees were critically injured, one killed, and the assassin, Thomas Matthews Crooks, 20, was shot dead on an elevated roof overseeing the stage on which the former president was speaking.

Trump had just begun to fire up the crowd when as many as 7 shots were heard. "And then the worst president in the history of our country took over. And look what happened to our country. Probably 20 million people [came in illegally]. And, you know, that's a little bit old, that chart... that chart's a couple of months old. And if you want to really see something that sad, take a look at what happened over..." the former president said before the gunfire rang out, and he went down, surrounded by Secret Service agents.

Shooter In Attempted Trump Assassination, Had Explosives In His Car And Home

Crooks, a Bethel Park, Butler man of Scottish Jewish root opened fire with a rifle about 130 meters from the stage where Trump was speaking.

Local law enforcement reportedly alerted the Secret Service earlier about Crooks suspicious movement. And other eyewitnesses reported suspicions about him. Explosive devices were later discovered at the shooter's vehicle at a park near the rally location, and at his house.

A video, filmed from the audience, shows Trump on stage speaking. Within a few seconds someone can be heard shouting: “He’s got a gun!” Another shouted, "he's on the roof!"

A voice could be heard advising others not to go near the building on which the shooter is situated.

Within seconds it’s evident that the shooter had been neutralized. “He’s dead. I just seen his hair go up. They shot him in the head,” someone says.

As they led him away, with what appeared to be blood on his cheek and his right ear, Trump was heard telling his security team, "let me get my shoes," as they brought him to his feet and hustled him off-stage. The former president, bleeding, then raised his arms defiantly chanting "fight, fight" to the crowd as they erupted in chants of "USA USA."

The former president escaped death by mere milimeters by turning his head while he was speaking, as the bullet grazed his cheek near the right ear.

An eyewitness told BBC that he saw the shooter on the elevated roof, and unsuccessfully tried to warn Secret Service agents and police officers standing yards away.

The U.S. Secret Services said in a press release, that the suspected shooter fired from an "elevated position" and killed at least one person and "critically injured" 2 others.

Commenting on the incident later in a Truth Social post, Trump wrote: "I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear," he said. "I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

Former First Lady Melania Trump Says She Looked On In Horror As Assassin Tried To Take Out Her Husband Trump

Trump's wife and former First lady Melania Trump said in statement posted on X, that the shooter was "a monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine" who attempted to "ring out Donald's passion -- his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration."

Melania said she looked on in horror as the shooter allegedly tried to take out her husband during the event. "When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized my life, and Barron's life, were on the brink of devastating change," she wrote, adding that her husband is a generous and caring man.

She paid tribute to Secret Service agents and law enforcement officials who "risked their own lives" to protect her husband, and honored the victims, including one person who was fatally struck.

"To the families of the innocent victims who are now suffering from this heinous act, I humbly offer my sincerest sympathy. Your need to summon your inner strength for such a terrible reason saddens me."

Melania said that America is a unique nation and that courage and common sense must ascend and "bring us back together as one."

"I am thinking of you, now, my fellow Americans," she wrote. "Dawn is here again. Let us reunite. Now."

"An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania," Guglielmi said. "The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available."

Trump's communication director, Steven Cheung, said: "President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility."

In a statement, President Biden said that he has been briefed on the incident: "I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it."

Trump, 78, has since been released from the hospital after surviving the assassination attempt, and he's arrived at his New Jersey residence. He has reportedly spoke with Biden by phone.

Responding to appeals by some of his X followers to beef up his own security, Tesla CEO  Elon Musk revealed recent attempts on his life "Dangerous times ahead," he wrote. "Two people (separate occasions) have already tried to kill me in the past 8 months. They were arrested with guns about 20 mins drive from Tesla HQ in Texas."

The SpaceX chief also called for the firing of woke Secret Service chief Kim Cheatle who had on several occassion reportedly refused to allocate more security personnel to Trump.

Steven Woodrow, a far-left Democrat congressman from Colorado, has since deleted his X account following online backlash to his disgusting reaction to the assassination attempt on Republican presidential candidate Trump.

"The last America needed was sympathy for the devil but here we are," he wrote.

Australian Woman Found Guilty In Poisonous Mushrooms Murder Of In-laws

Australian woman Erin Patterson was found guilty on Monday, of murdering three of her estranged husband’s relatives and attempting to murder a fourth by deliberately serving them poisonous death cap mushrooms during a lunch at her home in Leongatha, Victoria, in 2023.

The verdict, which required unanimous agreement, was reached after six days of jury deliberation. Patterson faces life in prison, with sentencing yet to be scheduled.

The victims were Patterson’s parents-in-law, Don and Gail Patterson, and Gail’s sister, Heather Wilkinson, who all died after consuming beef Wellington pastries laced with the toxic mushrooms. Heather’s husband, Ian Wilkinson, survived after spending weeks in the hospital.

During the nine-week trial, the prosecution argued that Patterson intentionally picked death cap mushrooms after seeing their locations posted on the citizen science website iNaturalist. She then dehydrated and powdered the mushrooms before concealing them in the individually served pastries. Patterson was the only one who did not consume a tainted portion, and she attempted to feign illness to avoid suspicion. Prosecutors also alleged she tried to cover up her actions by disposing of a food dehydrator and deleting electronic evidence.

Patterson’s defense claimed the inclusion of the poisonous mushrooms was accidental, asserting that she had unknowingly used foraged mushrooms to enhance the flavor of the meal. However, the 12-member jury unanimously rejected this argument, concluding that Patterson had intentionally poisoned her guests.

The prosecution highlighted strained relations between Patterson and her estranged husband, Simon Patterson, who was invited to the lunch but did not attend. They also pointed to Patterson’s alleged "two faces"—one publicly showing a good relationship with her in-laws and the other revealing private frustrations and resentment.

Progress MS-31 Cargo Spacecraft Docks With The Space Station

MS-31 (Progress 92) cargo spacecraft autonomously docked with the space-facing port of the Poisk module of the International Space Station(ISS) at 2125 UTC on July 5. The unpiloted Roscosmos craft launched at 1932 UTC on July 3 on a Soyuz rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The spacecraft was loaded with supplies for the Expedition 73 crew aboard the ISS, including 2,625 kilograms(kg) of cargo for the Station, including 1,205 kg of dry cargo, 950 kg of fuel, 420 kg of drinking water, and 50 kg of nitrogen.

MS-31 will remain docked for approximately six months before departing for re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere to dispose of trash loaded by the crew.

==================

Soyuz 2.1a rocket launched Progress MS-31 cargo spacecraft (designated Progress 92 by NASA) from Site 31/6 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on 3 July 2025 at 1932 UTC, beginning a resupply mission to the International Space Station(ISS). The spacecraft is expected to dock with the zenith port of the ISS's Poisk module on 5 July at around 2127 UTC after a two-day free flight.

Progress MS-31 is painted in an unusual blue and white scheme as it was originally intended for a Glavkosmos commercial launch.

The spacecraft is carrying over 2,600 kg of cargo, including 1,205 kg of dry cargo such as food, clothing, and equipment for several science experiments, 950 kg of refueling propellant for the space station, 420 liters of potable water for the crew, and 50 kg of nitrogen to replenish the ISS atmosphere.

The Progress MS-31 mission will support the Expedition 73 crew aboard the ISS, delivering necessary supplies and equipment for scientific investigations and technology demonstrations, which will help prepare humans for future space missions and benefit humanity.

Progress 92(MS-31) will take the place of the Progress 90(MS-29) vehicle, which undocked from the same Poisk port on Tuesday (July 1) after a roughly seven-month stay. Progress 90 will burnt up on re-entry to the Earth's atmosphere -- the same fate that awaits Progress 92 about six months from now.

NASA maintains a separate naming convention for these missions, reflecting an organizational distinction rather than a difference in the spacecraft themselves.

The Russian segment of the ISS currently hosts other visiting vehicles, including Soyuz MS-27, and Progress MS-30 (Progress 91).

Soyuz MS-27 crewed spacecraft launched on 8 April 2025, carrying NASA astronaut Jonny Kim and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky to the ISS. MS-30 cargo spacecraft launched on Feb. 27, and is docked to Zvezda service module's aft port.

MS-31 mission is the second launch of the Progress MS spacecraft in 2025 and the third rocket launch from the Baikonur cosmodrome this year.

Progress is currently one of three cargo ships that deliver supplies to the ISS. The other two are private American vehicles: Northrup Grumman's Cygnus and SpaceX's Dragon.

Elon Musk's 'America Party' Is 'Ridiculous,' Says Trump

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the formation of the "America Party" over the weekend, following a poll on his social media platform X, where users supported the creation of a new political party by a 2-to-1 margin.

The Tesla CEO criticized both Democrats and Republicans, accusing them of contributing to national decline and stated, "When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy."  The announcement came after Musk's public break with President Donald Trump over the latter's "Big, Beautiful" tax bill, which Musk claims would dangerously inflate the federal deficit.

Musk's new party aims to target 2–3 Senate seats and 8–10 House districts to act as a swing bloc in Congress, with the goal of serving as the deciding vote on contentious laws, ensuring they serve the true will of the people.

The America Party has been officially registered in California with the Federal Election Commission on July 6, but Musk has not announced leadership details, a party platform, or plans to field candidates.

Trump responded to Musk's announcement, calling it "ridiculous" and asserting that the U.S. has always been a two-party system, suggesting that a third party would only add to confusion.

"I think it's ridiculous to start a third party. We have a tremendous success with the Republican party," Trump told reporters' Sunday. "The Democrats have lost their way, but it's always been a two party system, and I think starting a third party just adds to the confusion. It really seems to have been developed for two parties. Third parties have never worked, so he can have fun with it but I think it’s ridiculous."

In a long post on Truth Social, Trump also suggested that Musk is angry because government electric vehicle mandate was removed from the 'Big Beautiful Bill' which congress passed recently and Trump signed into law on July 4.

Trump wrote, “I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely “off the rails,” essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks. He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States - The System seems not designed for them.

"The one thing Third Parties are good for is the creation of Complete and Total DISRUPTION & CHAOS, and we have enough of that with the Radical Left Democrats, who have lost their confidence and their minds! Republicans, on the other hand, are a smooth running “machine,” that just passed the biggest Bill of its kind in the History of our Country.

"It is a Great Bill but, unfortunately for Elon, it eliminates the ridiculous Electric Vehicle (EV) Mandate, which would have forced everyone to buy an Electric Car in a short period of time. I have been strongly opposed to that from the very beginning. People are now allowed to buy whatever they want - Gasoline Powered, Hybrids (which are doing very well), or New Technologies as they come about - No more EV Mandate.

"I have campaigned on this for two years and, quite honestly, when Elon gave me his total and unquestioned Endorsement, I asked him whether or not he knew that I was going to terminate the EV Mandate - It was in every speech I made, and in every conversation I had. He said he had no problems with that - I was very surprised! Additionally, Elon asked that one of his close friends run NASA and, while I thought his friend was very good, I was surprised to learn that he was a blue blooded Democrat, who had never contributed to a Republican before.

"Elon probably was, also. I also thought it inappropriate that a very close friend of Elon, who was in the Space Business, run NASA, when NASA is such a big part of Elon’s corporate life. My Number One charge is to protect the American Public!”

Both left-wing and conservative influencers online pan the announcement, arguing that Musk, while good with building innovative technologies, is clueless on how party politics work and should have instead focused on electing great candidates within the Republican and Democrat party primaries.

Despite Musk's intentions to challenge the entrenched two-party system, experts note that breaking the Republican-Democratic duopoly will be a tall order, given its dominance over American political life for more than 160 years.
